Aya is a collaborative project led by Cohere For AI, aiming to create a highly capable multilingual generative language model, with a strong focus on underrepresented languages. GalsenAI is actively participating in this initiative to ensure Wolof is well represented.

The project involves collecting high-quality data, annotating it, and training the model. The community contributes by providing Wolof data and translating instructions.
